A

Awareness of all that is working. For instance I am so grateful for technology that is making this possible and giving us an advantage that had not been in existence in generations past. Channel our thoughts to the blessings.

B

Breath is a real tool for activating the relaxation response. So when you feel stirred up, do pause and take a few deep breaths. It will keep you out of the “Fight or Flight” state of mind which interferes with our ability to think logically.

C

Check in with yourself asking, “What do I need right now?” This is a “self compassion soother” and the answer you find may be a break, a drink, a to do list, comfortable seat, acknowledgment that you are working hard.

D

Distractions & Difficulty. Your entire new normal is full of distractions be it thoughts or new routines. Congratulate yourself for any difficult work you’ve done rearranging into this new “normal-for-now.” You are not alone; everyone has been scrambling. There is an extra energy that has been used for all of the new routines…speaking of energy…

E

Energy! You may find many occasions to shift the energy. When you begin feeling low, you can pretty much trace it to your most recent thoughts or the fact that you may really need to rest. Take a break, write in a journal, return to empowering thoughts.

F

Face the fear. There is a natural fear of the unknown. This is a time of great uncertainty. This is also  great time to invite fear in to take a seat and tell it you understand where it is coming from, but that it cannot lead today.

G & H too

Good news! Humans are superior adapters. That’s why we have survived to this point. Believe in our ability to do all of this. You’ve got this!
