How resilient are you? How resilient do you need to be?
Last fall I added resilience coaching to my services. These sessions, are offered on sliding scale fee and as a “pay it forward” so that no one is turned away for lack of ability to pay. Each client is paying it forward to the next participant, even if the fee needs to come later. I believe resilience is a skill and when life is crashing in on us, it is time for a crash course on resilience. In these challenging times, I would like to extend this offer to anyone feeling the pressure in need of some skill building. An individual, confidential, 45 min session, via phone or video conference, offered to you or someone you love who is going through challenging time.
Resilience involves finding an empowering perspective and moving in a forward direction with an acknowledgment of pain. In any situation, truly any situation, we can acknowledge the pain, determine a path forward and develop a perspective that arms you with energy and motivation to succeed. As my hero Viktor Frankel states in his book Man’s Search for Meaning, “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”
